Chasing the Storms – A Trip to Jackson Hole

Everyday for the month of February Jackson Hole was tormenting us with their Facebook posts of storm after storm pounding the resort.  Finally we caved in; jumped online to reload the J-card, called my aunt in Wilson and made plans to head for JH!!!

The plan was drive over and see my parents Saturday/Sunday and then head up to my Caryn’s place on Sunday afternoon, then ski Monday and Tuesday.  The storm was a bit warm, even in the high country and we were a bit worried because it was a rain/snow mix in most of the western Wyoming valleys.  However as you will see in the video, the snow was great – not cold smoke consistency, but the top two-thirds of the mountain was deep and soft.

The video highlights the skiing and showcases many of the famous Jackson Hole runs such as; Corbet’s, Alta Chutes, Headwall and Expert Chutes, just to name a few.
