Here is some great race footage from the Knobby Tires Series, Avimor Coyote Classic race held on May 12, 2012. Conditions were fantastic and the trails are dramatically improved thanks to the efforts of many volunteers and the coordination of SWIMBA.
The GPS data contains the entire track, which is 22.4 miles long and has approximately 4,000 feet of total elevation gain. The trails in this area are relatively new, compared to many of the other trails in the Boise foothills. This area has great riding, terrain, and views. Through the volunteer efforts the amount of quality single track is increasing at a great pace. The video is from an area of the trail system named the Shooting Range. This section highlights some of the recent trail building efforts. This area is accessed directly off Highway 55 north of Eagle. It is highly recommended, especially if you are looking for some riding that is not as crowded as some of the popular trailheads closer in to Boise.
If you want to preview the trails in your favorite GPS application, just click the Download link on the GPS data viewer. The Shooting Range section is highlighted with a beginning and ending waypoint.
